IPTV channel backup

hi Guys

The addition of IPTV function to the already excellent spiderbox 6000, is truly a great bonus
Thanks a lot for that but I do have a small question and not sure if it's possible: is there a way to save an item or a channel from the IPTV list somewhere in a USB stick, to avoid losing it when I do an upgrade by network? For example there is a channel that doesn't clear always on ASTRA 19 but is available clearly in the IPTV LIST1 (french sport channel EQUIPE 24); is there a way to save that entry to a customised IPTV list?

i thought i can ask again without opening a new post: basically i want to be able to save a good list of IPTV then EDIT it and add other items from a new list, i.e. make my own custom IPTV


is this possible with SPIDERBOX 6000?

No backing up of the list that you get on Spiderbox. You can make your own lists and load it and then do the usual update . As any list (of the 4) is restricted to 400 channels each, your own channels will be at the begining of the list and you can 'top up' with Blackdevils channels (up to 400) SO, if you had 100 channels of your own, then by pressing update (blue button) you will receive the first 300 of Blackdevils channels ( to make up the 400)
PS: Meant to add that you cannot back up the list because the lists are meant to be viewed on Spiderbox ONLY, url is a url, if they were 'downloadable' from the box then someone would share the streams url's in public and people would try to exploit BD's efforts by using his server on their other boxes. Its only fair that we can make our own lists and load them to the box and then top up with latest movies etc

yes it makes sense, the reason behind my question was jst that sometimes i like a channel and if i do an update that channel is gone, although i have other good options but the specific one is gone after the update

Generally it is not a fta channel and it is more difficult than others to be IPTV link.

well that's the problem it has been added recently in very good quality (HD) and then two or 3 days ago i lost it when i updated LIST1
I like that channel very much but as you said if it can't be added because it stops working then fair enough

I still appreciate all other efforts/channels added and it's very good to have the IPTV as an option to watch channels

I have both sd and hd version atm but i thought that hd version is freezing a little that's why i use sd version or isn't it ?

On IPTV i only got the HD version last week or around that time and it was working fine but because i have ASTRA 19 AND HOTBIRD 13 only i never managed to get a good continuity with the SD channel, sometimes it works until 10pm then it goes (nothing to do with signal in my opinion)

But last night i upgraded my LIST 1 and i got L'EQUIPE 21 SD version this time, that's more than enough for me
