Hey friends!
It's been a while since my last post. I bought a box last August and it's been running a treat but recently the Zee (Indian) channels are gone. I've spoken to my "dealer" and he says I need to "re-scan and check all the channels back in".
Does anyone know what that means? I'm using the 6000 Channel Editor 2.1.1.
Thanks.
S.

You can just manually scan in the channels, they are listed on 11662 H 27500, or load a latest channel list.
There is a manual, you can download, detailing how to manually scan channels in:

To scan in satallites either do has mickha suggests or
on your remote...select menu...then installation...then satallite settings
now place a tick in the box next to the satallite you want to scan if you are on a fixed dish select usuals...
now press green button on your remote...come down to programe...now you can choose to select all programes...just tv and no radio etc or fta
then on scan mode select blind scan or default...then on scan select ...select single sat...(assuming you only want that one satallite scanning in)
then press green button on your remote to scan that satallite
all channels will now be overwritten on that satallite...any missing will be added
hope this helps

OK so I did a manual scan as recommended Extrafacto. I checked a fixed satellite (28E Astra 2) for TV only on Blind Scan. The channels are still missing.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

That doesn't look like a manual scan, it looks more like an automatic scan, which scans all the satellite.
Try going to the link, in my post, downloading the users manual, and doing a manual scan, for just the one frequency.
You might also want to check how many channels you now have scanned in, in case you're near the maximum.
Alternatively you could just load someone elses channel list.
" Any suggestions? "
Yes, you could check in the following thread to see if those channels are still available 0n 28 east, or if they have moved to another Satellite.

just to add to what mickha suggested, you could always create another channel list with the Channel Editor, and see if those channels do appear in there.
