turn off a frozen box.

hi guys, does anybody know of a way to unfreeze or at least switch off a vu solo2 box when it has completely frozen? sometimes when i am fiddling with the xbmc addon the box will just freeze and there is no way to unfreeze without switching off at the back, which i know is very bad for the box and i dont want to do that again. thanks chippy

Telnet in and issue the command

killall -9 enigma2

to restart enigma or issue the command

reboot

to restart the box.

And you are quite correct,flicking the switch at the back to restart will result in a corrupted image eventually.
Think of your box as a mini computer and you wouldnt dream of turning that off at the back,simply because you know that if you do you will eventually corrupt windows.
