I've used Catseyes setting for a long while now and long may it continue.

One of my boxes running Openvix is connected to my old fixed Sky box and so just has Astra 28. In the past I have simply copied the Catseye settings to the enigma2 directory and rebooted and everything was ok. However when I did this for the latest settings I get a lot of <n/a> instead of the correct channel names (they do show the correct icon though).

I tried a manual scan but with no success.

Can anyone give any advice please and apologies if this topic has been covered before.

It starts after Channel 4 (Sky UK SD EPG) and theres a big chunk of them missing from there plus other Bouquets

Will do and let you know how I get on. Just been kicked off the TV now cos the wife is watching Holby City grrrrrr

I've deleted all the relevant files in the enigma2 directory and copied the 1st May settings into that directory.

I know catseyes settings are good but if just using Astra 2 I would suggest you download in plugins Autobouquets the UK one and set to your region

i love catseyes as have a multi dish and love the layout " 13e, 28,2 etc "
but what i hate is the gap in the update time. when i looked the other days when sports all moved, the file was 3 weeks old? and not updated that day

even now just looked, says 15th march on the file, thats 6 weeks old

Well managed to fix it but not sure how.

Did a factory reset then restored last backup and most the channels were back (of course some have changed hence the need to update). Ran an autoscan then copied the latest catseye setting into the enigma2 directory and bobs yer uncle.

Not sure what all that was about to be honest. Thanks for everyones suggestions

Just tried the same procedure on my motorised setup with same results. For the past year all I did to update was copy the Catseye settings over the existing ones. Seems that doesnt work now. Do I also need to do a full autoscan as well?

No, the settings have some issues but be patient.

Cheers. I will leave well alone until it is sorted then. At the of the day so long as I can get Discovery (which I can) and Wheeler Dealers I'm happy.

Have another look -the most recent one is dated the 1st May 2015

The reason for the delays are as follows
1) Minor updates between releases so it does not warrant another release (ie change of name to a channel on 7 West)
2) Over last 2 weeks there have been many changes on a daily basis to Astra 28.2 East so it would mean as soon as file released it would have been useless-hence reason for longer than usual release

hope this clarifies

i should add, delay is on the catseyes settings website and not here, unless you dont own that site :)

What website are you on about?

This is my home here -this is the place they are released before anywhere else

Latest Catseye (15 May) worked a treat on my Astra 28.2 fixed dish setup.

On my motorised system I still get occasional blank channels denoted by n/a (including on 28.2) after copying over the 15 May settings. Should this be rectified by running an automatic scan?

Try using dreamset v2.39 to send settings to box
open file on pc screen -check you have it set to enigma2 ver4 (HTTP reload) works fine for me
Then restart box
You shouldnt have any listed as n/a

Cheers Catseye. That worked a treat. I've always either transferred by using FTP through Filezilla or by using VU+ control centre. Will use Dreamset from now on.

Once again thank you.
