the 9000 and 7000 tend to fail eventually with freezing or reboots , we assume this is due to power supply components failing and needing replacing, probably capacitors

fact of life m8, it needs servicing or repair and due to its age its not uncommon on any device, same as on cars

wont last forever and the 9000 is several years old so only to be expected and no longer in warranty

I have a 9000 and a couple of 7000 boxes with similar problems, not been used for quite a while and I should probably bin them ;)

I had two 9000's and when they start freezing its usually the power supply dropping of the pace, I bought all the capacitors to fix the prob but some are areal pain as they are closely spaced together, I had a 6000 for a friend who suddenly moved so I used his box and didn't bother.

It was probably one rogue cap that caused the prob but I never got to find out which one.

Probably the big 400v one.

thought that might be the problem
