I`m having problems with said box , it keeps freezing then I change channels and just get a blank screen except when on a free to air channel !
Also when I go to watch a recording nothing is there ? I then press exit to return to live tv and get a black screen again !
The big other problem is that I`ve not a clue what I`m doing and I mean not a clue.
I hope some one can help me
Thanks

P.S I`d gladly make a donation when sorted

Unzip the patch/image and put it on a usb stick then put usb stick into box whilst turned off ¬ When you turn on the box will give a message about new software ! Press ok and it will upload it from the usb stick !
Make sure you back up your cccam.cfg file first though _ Just a thought.

if its a linux based box, use an ftp program like filezilla to backup from the box to laptop, in other words, treat it as a dreambox or a vu (as long as its linux)
if its actually a Technomate Nano TM-Nano-2T Linux HD Twin Tuner USB PVR then its deffo linux and treated as if its a vu twin tuner box ( like a duo or solo2 )
notice that says 2T , not T2

Thanks for the correction it is a Technomate Nano TM-Nano-2T Linux HD Twin Tuner USB PVR and not a T2 !
I`ve downloaded filezilla and read/watched a few guides and all I got was "cannot connect " I put the correct IP in then root and even tried a few extra 0`s and still nothing
Does my box have to be connected to my pc some how ? because the box is not wireless ?
I also don`t know how to treat it as a vu twin tuner box
I`m still stuck and still not a clue what I`m doing
Thanks again for persevering with a numpti

have you got the box connected to your router with a ethernet cable?
if it is then the computer should see the box. i cant help with filezilla i
find the dreambox control center easier, as i have used it for years

as above , make sure the tm is connected to the router with an ethernet cable
then make sure you have used the setup wizard to set the lan up (to log the box onto the router)
check it has a valid ip address from your router (check the router admin panel to see which one its allocated)
then try DCC or any ftp program and you need to know the login password as well as the name
use DCC and telnet to change the password
you can use VuCC or DCC or filezilla or any ftp program to access the box once the ip address , login name and password are known
there are many tutorials in the VU forums here (and the dreambox forums here) and your box wont be much different, if at all
yes there is a lot to learn with these boxes, which is why this is a technical forum but you are expected to have some expertise on laptops and similar equipment, linux boxes require more learning by the owner, so you have to put the time and effort in and learn the ropes, this may mean learning telnet commands, new programs and all kinds of new stuff, a steep learning curve for the newbie, so when you bought this box you should have known what you were letting yourself in for
have a good read of the vu duo and vu solo 2 sticky threads, they may help
then read user threads where similar questions have been asked, and answered
eventually, with the effort you put in, it will become clearer, but rome wasnt built in a day, especially by anyone who asks what a trowel is !
I just get the impression you are trying to drive formula one when up to now you have learned to ride a tricycle only :)

in filezilla use ip number of box in Host and user will be root no password
obtain ip of box by pressing Lan button on remote and check adaptor settings _ this gives you box ip _
so ip number
user = root
password = blank
You should connect _
Then navigate to directory /var/etc
Then find CCcam.cfg file and copy to pc/lappy by double click left mouse button.
Goodluck

this is not my work i found it elsewhere i hope it helps you
Guide how to USB flash / upgrade a Technomate TM-2T.
Download your preferred image.
Format a USB stick FAT32 on your PC, leave the stick connected to your PC.
Power off your receiver.
Extract the rar or zip file and copy the complete update folder to the root of your USB stick.
Now check the file stucture on your USB stick. You should have update > tm2toe > cfe > image flash files inside the folder. Remove USB stick from PC and connect to receiver.
Power on the receiver, when you receiver the message on your TV screen press OK on the front panel.
Wait for the flashing process to complete, do not power off until the complete message is on your TV screen.
Once complete remove the USB stick, start repeatedly pressing EXIT button on front panel
and keep repeatedly pressing EXIT for 10 seconds after power on.

@echelon I`m trying to fly the space suttle and get even bloody crawl yet pal LOL
I bought the box with everything on it so it was a plug and play , I knew nothing at all about doing any of this
Well guys I made a mistake ( there`s a shock ) and now I`m connected to the box ( thanks to you guys) through filezilla !
But I`ll be damned if I can find the cccam file to copy any ideas ?
Thanks again for getting me this far

Scrap part of the last message, I`ve found the cccam file !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so now I`ve double clicked and its showing on the left hand side of filezilla as well as the right side , is that correct ? and is it just the cccam file I need to back up as Rikjaard-real said earlier ?
Then when I want to restore it back do I right click on it to upload ?
Thanks again guys

you dont need to manually load cccams
the tm images have the cams built in them to find them and
load one you go to pluggins in the menu and when the pluggin panel
opens press green to download more pluggins when they appear you will see
a section cams click on this and download the cam version you want to use

the location of the cccam.cfg file is mentioned in those other threads in the vu forums you have not read yet, plus the location is given in post #13 too
but for posterity, as a newbie, its in var/etc inside the flash of the box
transfer this to your laptop hdd
if you need to copy it back to the box (for example, if you install a new image) , then transfer it to var/etc
downloading a new cccam will install a fresh config file (or none at all depending on the installer), so wont have your c line, which is why you are backing it up
calm down and learn how to use your box, how to install it, how to change things, these are not plug and play boxes , the more you read, the more you will learn , eventually
having read other threads in this forum alone, I can see the answers were there in other threads, even if its for a different nano
ps:- I have never double clicked a file on a linux box, no idea why you did that
pps:- if the box was preloaded, you should determine what image is on it right now BEFORE reflashing it with any new or alternative images, to see if its necessary
