Does anyone know how to get SpiderBox connected to the Broadband Router without using Ethernet?

you would have to use a wifi dongle supported by the box that gives wifi access to the router (still using the ethernet connection on the rear of the spiderbox)

I know goldwafers used to sell them, like the TENDA (and maybe previously Vonets)

Vonets bridge is one make I have used in the past for the 9000, you have to tune it in to your wifi first on a pc or laptop.

Theres other alternatives around on the net for about £20.

I used a vonets wifi bridge for my 9000 worked well, i seem to remember you can only programe from a machine with win 7 or earlier.

Have you tried the info supplied in post 3 in this thread, and if so reply with the info you get whilst trying to make the connection.

Use homeplugs much better than wireless adapters and if you cant get Vonets working you would never in a month of Sundays get the Tenda one going

did you run the set up disk that came with it ?

If it is Vonets VAP11G it should work fine with this soft on windows 8. (Just tested)
Install both before connecting Vonets to laptop.
Run VAP11G and follow instructions..

I have WinPcap but I guess SpiderBox just isn't detecting Ip Address

I have WinPcap but I guess SpiderBox just isn't detecting Ip Address

the question is, does the LAPTOP detect the ip address when running the software ?
if the laptop doesnt work, then neither will the spiderbox

the vonets will allow any ethernet connected device to work, so check and set it using the laptop and the software first, write down its lan settings , then plug it into the spiderbox and use the same lan settings (manual setup)

its the VONETS doing the work, not the spiderbox , so set the VONETS up and write down its ip address, then set the spiderbox up to mirror it

or as mentioned earlier, use homeplugs instead (providing an ethernet cable works)

I have been messing about with spiderbox and vonets for few hours and now is working but now got another issue which is probably best asked on another thread :respect-050: Thanks everyone.
