Hi all I am new to Satellite and I have a Protek 9700 HD IP receiver for a few years. I have only been using it for basic viewing freesat. I would be grateful if someone could give me details of how to open the hidden menus as I would like to be able to install a Newcamd line. As far as I can see cccam does not work on the Protek box, is this correct or am I talking a lot of rubish?
Thanks in advance

1. Press "USB" button (extreme left hand corner on remote)
2. Press the "+in square" button (just above the blue button on the remote)
3. You now have to enter the details from your n-line.
Happy viewing
PS. You are right cccam does not work on the Protek receivers.

Hi great dane, thank you for the instructions. I'm sorry to trouble you again but when I press the "USB" button it brings up a box on the left hand top corner of the screen saying USB menu with a couple of options Connect drive and Drive Format. this happens before I can press the "+in square" button. I'm probably doing something stupid but do I have to be in some menu when I am pressing the buttons. When I press the Menu button I have 5 options Preferences, System Setup, Installation, Smartcard & System Information. I have tried pushing the USB and + buttons in various menu options. Is there something I am missing or doing wrong. As I'm sure you have realised I'm a complete novice at the satellite game but I would be grateful if you could tell me what I'm doing wrong Thanks

great dane

Don't enter into any menu. Just follow the points below:
1. Press "USB" button (extreme left hand corner on remote)
Once you have got the "USB menu" box in the top left hand corner, proceed to point 2 below & press the "+in square" button
2. Press the "+in square" button (just above the blue button on the remote)
You will now have a "Server List" window displayed.
With "Server 1" highlighted press "OK" button
3. You now have a new window where you enter all the details from your n-line.
Can't be more detailed that that I'm afraid.
Good luck
