anywhere to update program guide such as open tv etc,,also do picons have to be stored on the flash to run from or will hdd work and how,thanks

I dont have your box but my picons on my linux E2 boxes are all stored in a picon folder on the usb stick in the rear of my box, this is standard practice , as its where you should be storing epg data and picons , for instant access , whereas the hdd has to "wake up" each time you do something, causing a freeze

having everything in the flash clogs up the flash , which can cause issues on some older boxes due to a lack of memory

the crossepg plugin is normally used for epg updating, saving to the usb stick

you can certainly try it, but most people use crossepg as it tends to be built into the images or is available on the plugin downloads websites for these images
