change the box to use DHCP auto
then check the ip settings for the router and the box
then if you are setting a fixed ip , change the setting to DHCP = NO and then set the last set of numbers to the fixed ip you require
so if the router is 192.168.1.254
and if the spiderbox on dhcp says 192.168.1.8
then if you want it on say 90 (for 9000) , set dhcp to off and use 192.168.1.90
the router would be 192.168.1.254 in the above case
netmask is undhanged at 255.255.255.000
primary and secondary dns can be either the router ip address, or say google public servers
if dhcp is ON , then the settings cannot be changed, as its on AUTO , not manual
