Dish setup with duo 2

Hello guys .


just come back to the satellite dish hobby .
used to have a vu+ solo2 motorised system

now got


a vu+ duo 2 and 1.4 dish with Supreme Intelligent Dark Motor

I cant for the life of me remember how to set this up
at the moment the dish and motor are pointing straight
not set on a satellite or anything

have I got to set this up on 1 west first before setting up receiver ?

must be getting to old for this :302:

in the dish forum, plus many other tutorials and help too

setting up a motor dish is not a duo2 issue , as any box can be used to set up the motor and dish

remember one important fact, the zero on the motor points at your true south, not magnetic south

if using usals , set your gps location and use the catseyes motorised dish settings file

then send it to a good location near your longitude , so for the uk try 0.8w or 5w on 4.8e

use fta channels to line it up, dont mess about with scrambled channels until its done
