In laymans terms:

Install filezilla:

in the ip address box - put your vu+ solo2 ip address: 192.168.x.x
username: root
password: dreambox
port: 21

Connect to your box:
Depending on the cam you're using - ie CCcam - transfer your CCcam.cfg via filezilla to your box /etc/ directory - then chmod it to 644

If you don't know how to use filezilla or what chmod is - google is a great search engine - use that for info.

Have you uploaded CCcam 230, to the tmp file, and activated it on your VU+ Solo 2?
You can get CCcam 230 from the Emus sub section:
https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?161009-Vu-Plus-community-BH-oe2-emus-(2013)-(2014)

Once you have dowloaded the cccam230.ipk transfer it into the tmp folder, using Filezilla.
Now go to your receiver, press the green button, followed by the yellow buton, and manually install ipk file.
Once done exit that menu, press the Blue button, shortcut to cams, then the < > keys, to select CCcam 230 and OK.

Now go back to your PC, refresh Filezilla, in the top right click on the + sign, to expand the folder, scroll down to the var folder, and expand this, click on the etc folder, to view the contents, in the bottom right pane.
Scroll down to CCcam.cfg, right click, and click on the View/Edit option.
paste your lines, into this file, click File Save, and then save after closing.
Now it should work

now use filezilla or any ftp program to transfer it (copy it) back to your pc so you have a backed up saved copy of that amended cccam.cfg file from var/etc on your pc or laptop, that way you can always transfer it across again, plus you can do any edits on your pc or laptop and then transfer it to the box , overwriting the one in there with the new one (or your saved one)

And i would also back up as you go. so if it all goes west you can restore from the set up menu.

Hi guys, just a quick thank you for all the questions you ask and answer, they are

invaluable to members. I have not used the forum for months now as I have had other

commitments, my VU+Solo2 has been neglected in that time. The image needs updating as it is

old, 1.0.7 or something like that, so nearly as old as me lol's.
I will pluck up the courage to update to the newest version soon and use the guide above,

thanks again for all the help and advice over the years, and its great to see the site

still going strong.
