Black Hole images for original DM800HD

Guys

I have noticed there are Black Hole images for the cloned DM800HD but i was wondering if there are any about for the genuine box.

i have had a version before i think it was 2.14, which worked fine, i only had to change it as i could not get my DM800HD and my VU+ solo 2 running BH 2.1.5, network mounted so i could watch movies from one box to the other.

i just wanted to see if i could try it again and possibly have XBMC running.

Have you seen, or tried, these Black hole images, for clone dreamboxes?
There is an Open Black Hole image, that might work, on other receivers, but why not just load a different image, on your VU+ Solo 2, that's compatible with your dreambox?

I have managed to locate the copies of BH 2.1.4 and 2.1.5 on my PC, obviously these have been written for VU+ boxes and converted for DM800, there is no plugin for XBMC but nice to have BH on my box again.

if anyone wants it i can upload just let me know.

@satpaul is the image you suggest for a clone (sim2) and not a genuine DM800HD.

That's a clone image.pretty sure i've got a 2.1.6 version for genuine somewhere on my pc so will post it when i find it.

Since BH is not a genuine image and it wont get updated in future for Dreambox, do you think its still worth it?I am running open pli at the moment.


Lastly, do you think dreambox is dead now?

Dreambox is not dead but you just need the latest and supported box's, DMM made it very clear when end of life for old models would happen.

BH do not support DMM and never will again so those those that think a BH image for a DMM model is official are deluded or thick or both.

Hacked versions of our image are not supported and we don't give a fu** if it kills your STB :D

is it possible to update its (DMM) software to a better image? Its running OpenPLi at the moment.

is there any sat tuner capable for 4k channels? or any future proof box?

Images never kill your box unless you flash the wrong one, been doing this for over 10 years now so I like to think I know enough.

My post was directed at you because at BH we only support VU+ box's so when people say there is this or that image we have to state it is not a BH image and was never designed for any other STB.

To make it simple cars run on fuel but petrol don't work in a diesel and visa versa but you can make a diesel run on all sorts but don't expect it to come with a guarantee :cool:

Do you still have the blackhole 2.1.5 for the original dm800se please as I need it. I only found for clone boxes.

This has already been pointed out in this thread, BlackHole do not make images for Dreambox's
