Vu+duo2 Crashed

My Vu+duo2 has crashed on opening up with the screen showing Black hole image, i have tried the usb ports with a usb stick no good, is there way i can use a RS232 cable and file to un freeze it please.

If your receiver is booting up, beyond the CFE screen, then you should be able to flash an image.
Have you loaded any new plugins, or software, that might have caused the crash?
Can you still access your VU+ Duo 2 from your PC, using the VU+ Control centre, or FileZilla?
If you can connect, from your PC, I would back up your channel data, using dreamboxedit, then re-flash your image.
