Disappearing episodes of series after viewing/part viewing (Genesis)

Mate has Kodi installed on his Android box. Whenever he watches an episode or part views an episode (usually via Genesis) and tries to go back to view it, it disappears from the episode list as if it was never there.

Is this an issue with his Kodi settings that automatically deletes those episodes from his view of them or are they being taken off the server?

I have an android box, but tend to only use it for films (Genesis) and they never disappear after viewing.

I have just tried out what you say in your post...
started a series...watched for 10 mins...stopped it...closed kodi...gone back into kodi
selected same series..episode was there for me to click on...which i did and it played
i did the above again...full episode...this time after exiting...then went back...
there it was with a tick next to it...i could play it again
so not a problem here...so its not a kodi issue
has your mate messed with settings...ie told it to hide watched episodes
not sure if this can be done...but will now check out in main settings
after checking all in advanced settings...i can not see anything he could have altered to cause this
