Hi guys,

What is the experience of users with the HD channels on Intelsat 907?

Mine are subject to frequent video freezes while the audio continues normally.

I am using an Icecrypt S1600CHD and wonder if everyone has the same problem on the HD channels, or whether the Icecrypt has a fault and needs replacing.

You need a good s/n ratio to get the channels without freezing. (They are not meant for DTH users - hence the encryption)
I have no problems using a 1.5m dish with the Icecrypt 1600 from my location (West Western Europe)
I suggest a larger dish - make sure it is aligned perfectly and that the cable is as short as possible.

Sorrry, forgot to include my levels:

Quality: 72%

wilbs i have no problems with HD quality and have levels of S85% Q76% and as djsat states the better the quality strength the better the video output,I use icecrypt s3200,have you tried the latest SW for your box as i have found over the last 18 months that some are better than others, try tweaking the lnb skew a little bit after marking your current position and the also try moving forward/backward in mount to see if you can raise the level at all,as your signal strength is excellent but quality lower than ours.I have had a friends ice1600 on my dish and there were no problems with freezing, you dont have any obstacle in the line of site that is giving you digi blocking do you?worth a look.

Thanks DJSat79 and villamarre. You both answered the question. Now that I know that the HD channels can be viewed with no problems on an Icecrypt 1600 I can focus on maximising quality, and if that fails, replacing the Icecrypt.
