Not using IKS. Don't know what an MSCam is. Do I need to update? If so which one? (Original HD6000). Cheers CG
New or old box?????????????
Please see file info:
IKS users must use IKS patch
MsCam users must use MsCam patch

Both, choose the patch for the box you own

The patches are exactly the same. The only difference is the IKS/MsCam option.
Patches can be used in old or new boxes but if you have IKS code you will use IKS patch and if you have new box you will use MsCam patch.

Don't know why but this patch seems to make my receiver very buggy (mscam version). Seems to take ages scrolling through menu options etc. Reverted back to the original mscam patch.

What if any are the advantages of installing mscam over the IKS istallation ???

There is no original and no not original MsCam patch.
The latest is the best one for new batch of HD6000 or the old that we want to renew their codes.
Mscam free for a year, my IKS patch runs out in November
The free MsCam for 1 year is only for new batch of HD6000
After IKS or MsCam lasts on old or new boxes, they all will renew with MsCam codes.
You can send me pm for more infos how to renew.

yes, the mscam patch is not for you, its for the latest production models sold in the last couple of months
the expired box can have IKS switched off in the menu and just ignore IKS on that one (unless you can renew the sub over on v a s i k s) - but yes you can update the box using the latest IKS patch, even if not using IKS, the latest changes may be other items in the menu like r*dt*be etc
the one with IKS running can be updated to the latest IKS patch
basically, as you own the previous models , ignore the mscam patch and mscam-keys, mscam is no good for you at this time
Further to echelon's reply, blackdevil also offers info on how to renew IKS, and he posted this in post#15:
