Either of the above software can be used for unzipping the files.

1. Image Installation

Download the latest PrismCube Ruby BlackHole Image zip file from
http://www.goldwafers.co.uk/files/prismcube/images

Unzip the BlackHole_usb.zip file and extract the update_ruby folder to a USB PEN Drive.
The PEN drive must first be formatted to FAT32.

After unzipping to the pen drive you should have a folder on the root of the pen drive named update_ruby

Power off PrismCube Ruby by removing power cable at the rear.

Insert the USB PEN drive into the USB slot at the rear of the PrismCube Ruby.

Power on PrismCube Ruby by inserting power cable at the rear.

After a while you will see the word UPDATE appear on the front display.

Followed by the word Press i Key.

Press the i Key on the remote control to update.

The display will show a series of letters and numbers as it's updating block by block.

When the update has completed you will see a message on the display showing REMOVE USB.

Now remove the USB PEN drive and the PrismCube Ruby will reboot itself automatically.

It will take a couple of minutes to boot. Once it's fully booted you'll have the newest
BlackHole image installed on your PrismCube Ruby.

2. Installation First Installation Screen

Use the up and down keys on the remote control to select your option.

Select Menu Language and press OK.

Select your chosen Language and press OK.

Select Audio Language and press OK.

Select your chosen Language and press OK.

Press down key until Next > is highlighted and press OK.

Video & Audio Setup

TV Screen Format: Normal(Pillarbox)
Dolby Audio: Off
HDMI Format: 1080i

Press down key until Next > is highlighted and press OK.

Full screen Top-Left overscan compensation.

Use the up, down, left, right keys on remote to set your
screen correctly so the blue arrow is pointing at the top left of the screen then press OK.

Full screen Bottom-Right overscan compensation.

Use the up, down, left, right keys on remote to set your
screen correctly so the blue arrow is pointing at the bottom right of the screen then press OK.

Full screen Subtitle positioning.

Use the up, down, left, right keys on remote to set the bar
for subtitles screen position. press OK.

Full screen Pixel Ratio adjustment.

Press OK Button.

Now Press the Back button on remote control to exit screen calibration.

Antenna and Satellite Setup.

For single fixed dish LNB input, set Tuner Connection to: Unicable

For single motorised dish LNB input, set Tuner Connection to: Loop through

For Twin LNB input set Tuner Connection to : Separated.

In this tutorial I'm connecting two LNB feeds for a twin tuner and setting up a motorised dish using USALS.

Get your longitude & latitude info from _http://www.satsig.net/maps/lat-long-finder.htm

Enter your post code into satsig.net and you'll get the correct LON & LAT info for your location.

You'll need this information to set-up a motorised dish using USALS.

Select Tuner Connection and keep Pressing OK until Separated is selected.

Tuner Connection: Separated
Tuner 2 Signal: Same with Tuner 1
Tuner 1 Control: Motorized, USALS
Tuner 2 Control: Motorized, USALS

Press down key until Next > is highlighted and press OK.

Tuner 1 Config: Motorized USALS

My Longitude Direction: Set this to East or West depending on your coordinates. If your longitude showed a - sign on the satsig website then your Longitude is WEST.
If your Longitude didn't have a - on the satsig website then you are EAST.
My Longitude Angle: Enter your Longitude Here
My Latitude Angle: Enter your Latitude Here

Press down key until Next > is highlighted and press OK.

Select Add Satellite, press OK.
Choose a Satellite and Press OK.
Repeat process until you've added all the satellites you want.

Press down key until Next > is highlighted and press OK.

Satellite Configuration

Press down key until Next > is highlighted and press OK.

Channel Search Setup

Channel Search: Yes

Press down key until Next > is highlighted and press OK.

After channel scan has finished press OK then Press Back Button.

Press down key until Next > is highlighted and press OK.

Press down key until Next > is highlighted and press OK.

3. Install Softcam

Download OScam from here

Use an FTP client to upload the OScam_PrismCube_bhp.tgz file to the /tmp folder on your PrismCube Ruby.

In the XBMC Menu scroll to Black Hole and press OK
Select Bh Addons, press OK
Select Local Bhp package, press OK
Select OScam_PrismCube_bhp.tgz and Press OK.

Do you want to install the Addon message will appear
Select Yes, Press OK.

4. Activate OScam

In the XBMC Menu scroll to Black Hole and press OK
Select Blue Panel, Press OK.
Select Default cam, Press OK.
Select OScam, Press OK.

OScam config files can be found in /etc/tuxbox/config
