Update was easy using sd card.

Kodi 15.2 final will be installed in the new upgrade.

For those of you wanting the 1800/582/380 Firmware early

pls find ATV1800E ATV582 update firmware as below:
pls test and let us have your confirmation . then we can start OTA

change log:

1. Welcome page add 5 more lanuge. totally have 15 languages now：English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch (Netherlands), Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Polish, Greek, Hungarian, Czech, Croatian and Romanian
2. solved wifi disconnect issue
3. Kodi updated to 15.2 lastest version (Only if you factory Reset)
4. CVBS default output change to 480i (NTSC)
5. Each device should have a unique Android ID
6. When OTA updates occur, this list will show from now on showing the latest changes. You can select not to accept the changes if you prefer.

Purchased a mygica 582 yesterday arrived today...(from lee goldwafers)has the upgrade installed...
says its 15.2 after a factory reset

turned box on today...and there was a pop up waiting...upgrade
so i did the upgrade...after upgrade its now kodi 15.2 lsengard
so mygica 582 box is auto upgrading...after doing this all your settings will still be same
it does not wipe box etc..enjoy

these 2 boxs came with a new remote...very slim and on back of remote is keyboard
when i was setting up for a friend before i gave it to him,i was tempted swop my remote lol
looks good and easy to operate..both had kodi 15.2 isengard on them

update on new remote with mygica 582 atv box
i purchased 2 of these boxs with new remote few weeks ago...
has i said remote very slim and easy to navigate
well one of the guys i got one of these for the other night called me asking what he was doing wrong
i went his house and he was using the remote like the older remote with this box...
i had explained that keyboard on back of box was the best way to use it
front of remote has all the usual buttons...ok..up ,down,back etc
but on back keyboard has all same functions...up,left,right, down
these are found bottom right corner of keyboard
above these is a button that acts as ok or enter command
above that is another button that acts as go back command
i told him if he wanted very fast response from remote..use keyboard features for any commands
ie up down left right select back...and only use front of remote to switch on and off the box
since then he has had a very plesant life..hassle free easy to use experience using his remote
like i stated in earlier post...very good remote
just posting this incase anyone struggling like my friend using new remote
ie trying use it from front and each command bringing up the cursor on screen
best way to use is from back...ie keyboard...use front just to turn on and off

has i have stated in previous posts i have 2 mygica 582 boxs..1 to watch..2 to try stuff out on
well 2 days ago on box number 2 i installed kodi v16.0 jarvis
i can say that it is running without any problems on my box
............
this is how i installed it
downloaded kodi v16.0 fropm kodi site...choose arm/apk for android
then i sent this to a usb memory stick
i then uninstalled kodi from my box by doing this...on start up page of mygica box.look at top and you will see app next to that setting
i clicked setting...then selected more settings...in there i selected apps...i opened that and then selected kodi...uninstall
after this was done...i inserted my usb stick into box...now on front page of mygica box...select application
in there select applnstaller...click that.. now a box appears asking which device you want to scan for apks
local disk or usb...choose usb...you will now see kodi/storage/external/sda1/kodi-16.0-jarvis/armeabi-v7a.apk
select that...a box appears asking if you want to install..select yes...when done reboot box...you now have kodi v16.0 jarvis installed
ofcourse you will now need to put back on any apps you had ..ie fusion etc
the mygica team will ofcourse be releaseing a tested version of this for their box...
like i stated in other posts..mygica team do not make kodi...they just do little tweeks to it so it runs faultlessly on their boxs
and then release it directly to their boxs has an update
so you can download it if you wish...or wait untill you recive pop up on your box saying a mygica team kodi update is available

extrafacto. when I bought my first box from lee it had version 14.2 isengard. I did nothing to it as far as I can remember. (unless it was just a factory reset). suddenly it was showing 15.2 version which I'm happy with. bought a second box which came with the 15.2 isengard. got one for a mate at same time as my first and he is still showing 14.2 version. why mine auto updated and his still hasn't I don't know. maybe mygica sent an update at the time as you've suggested.
anyhow the latest wookie.metalkettle file on mine this weekend is fantastic. the notes say its not yet compatible with Jarvis 16 version. did a factory reset and latest wookie file on his yesterday 14.2 version and it doesn't work as well as my 15.2.
reading your notes it looks like the best thing for us novices is to wait while the mygica team send an update.

i did say i used a 2nd box to try stuff out on...
i do know that the mygica team get a new version of kodi...and then try out on their boxs...and when they are happy after doing any minor tweeks
so it runs faultlessly ..they then send out an auto update...a pop up asking if you wish to update and it does actually say its from the mygica team
at moment on second box i have kodi 16 jarvis installed...i have tried wookie...beast...and other builds
also any repo i know of or i have picked up off here from other members suggestions
tell your friend go to kodi site...go to downloads...older versions.its at bottom of page)..look for isengard 15.2 install that...let it fully update...make sure system check version is updating
once done...an auto pop up when sent out should auto update him in future
i have recieved auto update of new mygica tweeked kodi since i have had the box..mine origonaly came with kodi 14.1 installed
then auto to 14.2 etc

my box is used daily...for long periods...maybe your friend is a casual user...and its not picking the auto update up

well tonight i have totally wiped my 2nd box...not reset...totally wiped
on start up...all i got was install from internal sd...which i could not due to the fact the box was blank,
so...i went to mygica and saw this

1. Extract the IMG File from the zip folder and put it onto the Root of your SD Card

2. Can be updated using the Upgrade app or Recovery Mode. Updating through recovery mode will allow you to use a SD card or USB Drive.

3. This update will NOT factory reset your box. So it is suggested that you backup your apps and data and do a factory reset to have a fresh install

i downloaded the file...**NEW** ATV 1800/582/380 11/19/15 4.4.2 **Firmware File**
did has it says above...and glad to report it worked...it puts kodi 14.2 on has default..
but if you factory reset box after loading the file...you will now have isengard 15.2
has stated i did this on a box that was blank ,on start up...all i saw was manually load from external scource...usb or sdcard
so if anyone...accidently...or like me deliberatly wipes box completly this is the file to use
my box was in recovery mode

Many thanks for the news Extrafacto. I have Kodi 16 and Wookie, (full screen!!), running on an M8 reasonably well. I gave my Mygica away and went round to friend's house to update it for him. Put Kodi 16 and Wookie on. Not working well at all. Think that I need to go back round and put 15.2 back on. I'll have a look what firmware is on box. Cheers.

1. Solved HDMI black issue
2. solved kodi black issue under 480i with RCA output
3. update to kodi 16.0( you should set factroy reset to get FRESH new kodi 16.0, If you want save your current kodi setting and add ons. pls go to playstore and choose update)
4. Added Power Button and Memory Cleaner button to the Home Screen of Android Menu.

Have tested and it works very well.

I thought I had bricked my box doing a manual update and ended up with recovery screen. Went to mygica get the latest firmware and extracted img to formatted usb stick. Selected install from udrive and image installed ok. Updated kodi to Jarvis 16 and reinstalled wookie now all working again. Thanks extrafacto for your guidance cheers automan2

I also get pop up...saying you are using jarvis 16.0...while a stable version jarvis 16.1 is available
but if you read closely,it says vist kodi website
you can put this on if you wish...but i wait for pop up saying kodi update from mygica team
thats the version they have tweeked to run faultlessly on their own boxs,and then send out as an update directly to box
or you can check on mygica site to see if they have a version 16.1 ready
i have installed jarvis 16.1 from kodi site on my 2nd box...the one i try stuff out on,and it runs fine

purchased another mygica 582...came with slim remote and jarvis 16 on it
in a recent post i said about using front of remote was laggy and ***bersome
often bringing up cursur on screen...so best way was use back of remote ie keyboard to operate
well glad to report using front of remote is now fast response..
but because i am used to it still find myself auto using keyboard commands

Hi all,I got an error message when I opened Modro which read check time ect,I was advised that I should update modro,I am reading all the posts on updating mygica but it seem the more I read the more confused I get I did make an expensive cockup updating an M8 box and am wary,if anyone would take the time to give me a step by step exercise on doing this update on Mygica box I would be grateful,please forgive my ignorance,regards McG

i do not use this program...but for testing purposes i have just downloaded latest version of mobdro from mobdro website
mobdro 2.0.17 for android 4.1 and above...i have attached the file i have used on my mygica box... unzip the file
this you can send to a usb stick.
if you have mobdro installed on your box...go to front page of mygica box..where it says app at top next to that is settings
click that..now click more settings..now scroll down to apps..click that...you will now see all apps installed
select mobdro and select uninstall
now go to front page again....insert your usb drive containing the new version of mobdro
now select application...click that...now select appinstaller..click that
a pop asks choose device to skan apks...select usb...you should now see mobdro apk
install that...go back to main start page...click applications...look for mobdro and click it
you are now running latest version of mobdro...its running no problems here

I had the error message for Mobdro on my Android box. I went to My Apps and selected Mobdro and an update was available. I installed this update and all is well again.
