View Full Version : Satellites not stored?

Can anyone advise on what I have done wrong here please.

I scanned the satellites from 28.2 19.2 and 13.0 and everything was working well when I changed satellites and was able to get a very good picture from the channels that I viewed, however, something happened overnight and I can only tune in to the channels on 28.2. When I try change to another channel on another satellite, a message tells me "error, service unavailable check tuner configuration" It's as if the satellites are not stored, but the channels are showing against the satellite that I am trying to tune in to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How have you got the Tuner configured?
Do you have a motorized dish, or fixed dish(s), with a Diseqc switch?
Which image are you running?

The tuner is set as simple showing my long/lat as in the dummies set up guide. I have a motorised dish and the image is the latest Black hole.

Try going into the Menu, Setup, Service Searching, Satfinder, and try selecting a few satellites, and see if the motor moves.

Have yoiu tried manually trying to move the motor, using the Menu, Setup, Service Searching, Positioner Setup options, to move the dish East/West?
The first thing you need to do is ascertain that the motor, or cable connections, aren't at fault, by checking if your receiver, or any receiver, can get the motor to move.
You might also try changing your Tuner settings to the Advanced option, Diseqc 1.2, switching off the USALS options, and storing the satellites at set positions, e.g. 13E, at position 2, then use the positioner setup options to move the dish to 13E, and store it, at the same position, 2.
Do this for a few satellites and see if the dish will then move automatically, once a channel is selected.
