Usb flash drive or SD card for firmware update ?

Hi ! I read that to update a mygica we need a memory card . Is it possible to use a usb flash drive rather than a memory card ? Will it do the same thing ? Do you know from where I can get new nje firmare ? Thanks

Firstly dont upgrade with the beta 5.2 lolipop.

Your Mygica 582 should update O.T.A. which are currently being sent to the box.( Is automatic update on in box )

Micro sd card formated to fat 32 for firmware upgrades.

Usb for s/ware such as addons etc.

People were advised by mygica team...to only use the auto upgraded update...which has been tweeked by the mygica team to work flawlessly with a mygica box
allthough its your box...its your choice...

Actually I asked the wrong way fot the right question . ( this wa due to a endless search on go*gle ) . So the right question is ? HOW TO UPDATE MY BOX WITH LATEST SOFTWARE ? Cheers

depending when you purchased box...i got one a few months ago...came with kodi 14.1
got one 2 weeks ago...had kodi 14.2 on it...which last week updated automatically to isengard 15.2
like i said...updates are automatically
you will get a pop up on your box one day when you turn it on..
it will say its from mygica team...update available...make sure its the mygica team one...
because a pop up appears after factory reset saying update available from kodi site
on the advice of the mygica team you do not want that
