Looks like you may need to do a reflash

if you have a Backup image on USB then flash that if this does not work then flash a fresh image and start again, Make sure your USB is correctly formatted in Fat32

hi mate i have formatted 4 usb sticks just incase any are faulty i have loaded the sticks with the latest openvix to stick then switched off reciver put stick in switched on reciver just dose same 49% thats it wont let me update it

Disconnect the hard drive in the box that could be stopping it boot up

So it would appear that den123 is trying to reflash 2 Technomate receivers, with the same or similar problems.

Den123 I have read your thread, one thing I'm not sure about and it could be the problem when you put the stick into the receiver and you turn it on when you see the update screen are you pushing the power button on the front of the box? (guys not sure if its the power button he has to push or another), or are you just leaving he message on the screen. If your not pushing the button then all you going is bypassing the update and keeping booting into the image that is not working on your box each time hense the reason its only getting to 49% each time.

Just read the manual, put the update folder onto usb stick, turn off machine plug in usb and turn on. Wait until screen says new firmware detected and then push channel- or ok button on front panel and then wait 3 mins.

yes mate I press the - button it starts update that's it remote wont work anything also so sad

When you say remote wont work do you mean that if you dont try update does the box eventually boot? If so can you do a factory reset using the buttons on the top of the box?

In extreme cir***stances i would literally disconnect everything you have connected to the receiver like Cable/Freeview/Sat feeds and any other USB and then try and flash the receiver with just the Power cable obviously and HDMI attached and see if its any different

did that mate still the same have sent it back they will replace or repair it will just wait now thanks everyone

Back tomorrow as being re flashed by wofsat USB sticks would not work tried 5. Found out If I had used a powered hdd I could have re flashed it ok. So next time I will always use a powered USB had. To flash etc
