Is this the latest software to use or is the one from August 2016 the one to use? Also how do I update I have never done on spiderbox

Hi You need the August 2016 one.. Before you ugrade i would recommend that you save your channel list to USB otherwise you will lose channels after upgrade..very important if you have more than one satellite. There is options in menu to save and upgrade. Regards.

I think I will just stick with the August one I have on. Everything seems to be running ok.

that is an old patch which i think no longer works, if i remember you was unable to connect to server so they brought the august 2016 patch out to fix the problem.
