Setup Guide for the HitechBox HB9000
First connect up the required cables to your new HitechBox HB9000 Box, HDMI Cable, Network cable, LNB Cable and Power lead then switch it on.

Patch Loading
Only use the correct and latest patch for your Model, link below.

https://www.satpimps.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?796-Firmware

PLEASE NOTE: There may be a later update using the HTTP Online update.!!

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: If you have a channel list loaded remember to save it first.
Put a USB Stick in, go to Main menu, To second icon screen, Upgrade and Backup, Backup in USB, Backup Database, use the preset 'database.bin' and press the FAV button on remote to save.

To load a new channel list
Put the new channel list on your USB stick, then in Main Menu Use the Upgrade & Backup Icon/Upgrade by USB/Upgrade Type/Press OK/Select Channel Data/select Start/select USB Stick/select your channel list.

When downloaded, unpack it using 7zip, Winzip or WinRar depending on which compression was used (free downloads) and copy the uncompressed file to your USB stick.
Place the USB stick into either of your USB slots then goto Main Menu (12 Tiles screen) / right ‘V’ Volume button to the second Tile screen / Upgrade and Backup / Select your USB Drive / Select the unzipped HitechBoxHB9000.bin file, wait until box reboots.
Alternative is the online update FTP or HTTP. Use Red button /Green Button or Red Button / Yellow button.

Satellite Scanning (Motorised)
First goto Menu / Sat Installation / Installation / Motor Settings / Find and Select a Satellite you can view / scan from your location using the right or left ‘V’ Volume side buttons then down to Enable Motor Settings to USALS and enter your correct Long and Lat, continue to select any other Sats you require to scan by selecting and setting each one to USALS, this will Save / remember your USAL settings, then Exit button.
Then scroll up to Satellite list and press the Ok button to give a tick to all the Satellites you set up for USALS. Then Blue Button Channel Scan, I used Auto Scan, Go make a Coffee or Grab a Beer until scanning is done.

Emulator keys
Main menu / Sat Installation / Conditional Access / EMU Keys Editor, 3 Options 'Edit' , 'Add' , or 'Fav' Get keys from Internet.

Update to Mscam Dec 2016

Mscam Setup for 2.1.93 and later releases via http upgrade. This also applies to the other encryption types in the IP Sharing Protocal Menu.

Sat Installation / Condition Access / Enter Pass / OK on IP Shared Protocol / Select Mscamd / Scroll down to Mscamd / Enter Active code / Press FAV button to save / Press Test / Select Test, should give Success and remaining days to expiry, Exit out.

Time to start MsCam In older firmware.
Main Tile menu / Sat Installation / Installation / Conditional Access / 1111 / Net Client / Press red button Active Account / Down to MScamd service / OK button / OK button on Active code and enter your 10 digit code (Given by your supplier) / FAV button to save.

Adding your own Cccamd lines, In older Firmware
Main Tile Menu / Sat Installation / Conditional Access / 1111/ Net Client / Press OK on a Red Reader / right or left ‘V’ Volume button to select Cccamd / Enter your Port / User and Password details and set Enable to On / Red button to Save.

IKS, in older Firmware
Please note you will need to purchase and enter an IKS key to use this option, I have read that you can use your ‘ if still valid’ Spiderbox Key, but only in one box at a time and with the other Cams switched off in the Net Client menu.

Streaming side of the Hitech Box
As you have noticed there is a lot more to this tiny STB than just Satellite viewing.
Online streaming seems to be the way forward at the moment with faster and more reliable ISP’s around.

Stalker Portals
The Portal numbers 1 to 4 are for entering your own found sites.
There are four preset Operator Portals which are accessed by scrolling down (CH Down arrow Button on the remote) to Operator Portal then using the ‘V’ Volume right arrow button to select the set you want, then press the Ok button. Use ‘V’ button to scroll through the 10 categories.
Press Exit button to get back to the Main Tile Menu.

VOD
Press the VOD Tile and Explore.

IPTV World
Press and Explore, Try IPTV Bonus.

STB Client
The STB Client is a usefull app to add to your Android Tablet or Phone.
This will allow you couch potatoes to view and control your Hitech HD9000 via your Tablet or Phone while you are away from it.
I have it installed and its partially working. I can get the channel lists up and remote control the Box but cannot view any channels ATM, but this could be down to me.

I will add more as needed or when something is asked about in the Forum.
