In the spec of the box given by Blackdevil on 10/1/2016 it says that there is full support for 7 day EPG but I cannot find how to access it and of course there is a knock on effect when trying to schedule PVR recordings.

Can anyone help?
Thanks.

in my experience you would press some sort of EPG button

and although it may tell you it has full 7 day support, it tends to be valid only on certain free epg platforms, mainly on satellites that are not 28.2e, but most people associate the term (wrongly) with the sly epg data or freesat epg data on 28.2e

No, no EPG button on remote....... and no EPG
If you press ok to bring up the channel list, you can press the green button to switch to 'EPG view' which is just the channel list with the 'current' programme info, not even the 'next' programme is available. And that's it.... for now, maybe fixed later, but blackdevil says it is primarily an IPTV box, so who knows

Pressing the Info button twice on remote and left/right button will get you Now & Next for current watched channel, but that's about it.

The advice you guys have given confirms my findings. A shame as 7 day EPG was one of the features I looked for when choosing this box. Hope it gets fixed.

Besides this, it is an excellent receiver and the extras are "interesting".

now and next is the most common aspect for epg on most sats and broadcasters

most boxes do advertise a 7 day epg, but its never on the ones you want , the devil is in the detail and fools many people

this is what it says

14. Fully support 7days EPG

it does not mention the type of epg support, nor does it mention the satellite it supports it on, or the broadcaster either, but its usually some free open type of option rarely used by the channels we watch

some bespoke boxes have had a 7 day epg, like the blade and some technomate boxes and the early spiderboxes had a download option from rytec sources, but usually its crossepg on the linux boxes that actually does what you wanted, like on my vu duo and solo2 , which cost a lot more than your HB and I store the epg data on a usb stick in the back, along with picons

Echelon, guess I must have been spoiled with my Amiko Alien with a brilliant 7 day EPG which of course only works if a 7 day EPG is being broadcast, for example by the FTA German channels such as arte, mdr, zdf etc.

Anyway, thanks for your input and I'll continue to enjoy the fruits of Blackdevil's labour.
