no it wont affect any other boxes
you will have to change from auto IP address to manual ip address , then add the primary and secondary google servers into the appropriate boxes in the menu, the current ip address for the box can be used anyway, the subnet mask is the same , the router main ip address also remains the same
so similar to this spiderbox 6000 thread
https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?170028-Netgear-router-manual-IP-address
That's good this might sound silly my dns on spiderbox has four boxes with different numbers in starts with 1.9.2 so the Google is 8.8.8.8 do I remove al the numbers and put 008. 008.008.008 sorry for asking just want to make sure I do it correct thanks

needs to be similar to the link I showed you earlier , subject to your own router details (they do vary)
Thanks I did not see the link that's just what I wanted thanks again

if you need further help, attach a pic of your screen showing all those details whilst its got DHCP set to ON (so before you start messing with it)
I have it done now all seems fine thanks for your help
Sorry meant to ask do I change dns in router to google dns now that I have it done on box
