View Full Version : .bin channel editor for HB9000?
Anyone know of a .bin channel editor that can be used for the HB9000? have tried a couple I have found elsewhere on the net (for dreambox I think) but the .bin file doesn't load.
Very happy to upload a complete and sorted list here once complete ;)

Some sort of answer to your query can be found in this thread, post#4
https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?173487-HiTech-Box-9000-Channel-Manager-problem
thanks aldo. had a look at that thread. don't fancy manually sorting through 7000+ channels using the receiver. hopefully someone will come to the rescue soon with a working editor.

post the bin file that you cant load
Here you go. hope I've uploaded it correctly.
Happy for anyone else with a HB9000 to use this channel list too. feel free but install at your own risk. Pretty much everything from 36e-45w unsorted with no favourites.

there are no sat channels in that file
or its in the wrong format
how did you get the bin file ?
start the editor then network connect to your box
then download the channel list to the editor
i have opened the bin file
with the editor
by renaming the bin to .txt
and it shows the system settings menus in the editor
so this editor should work to throw the channel list back and forth
use this updated version
Backed up the database straight from the receiver and on to usb. I have managed to import it into one editor, displays the transponders but then the sats and actual channels are in different characters.
I'm pretty sure that the channels are there in the bin file. Maybe we just need a custom editor?
...so to use the u2c editor, I need to need to connect the receiver straight to my laptop then download the data directly from the receiver to the program?

???
there is no link
use the editor above just like dreamboxedit
input your sat box details in the editor
ip and port
connect to your box via network
send channel list to the editor from your box
edit it
and send it back
thats all you do with dreamboxedit
hence just like dreamboxedit ffs
Has anybody had any luck with a channel editor?
