Hi my new stock 6000 HD running Mscam is proving to be a bit of pain, I changed from a very stable SB 9000 running IKS that was due sub renewal to this model and I am now regretting it as it seems very glitchy

My main problem is every few days it will wipe the memory by itself when changing a channel, it will freeze then reset through standby and back to power on but all my sat settings, channels, fav lists etc are all wiped and I have to start again loading all these up and blind scanning sats

It also seems to freeze and reset alot on 19e channels when changing channels although mostly keeps settings and channel lists when it restarts

Mscam is also not as stable as iks I have many times when channels are scrambled but I understand this is not a right to access channels and I should be grateful for what I do receive but from reading the forums I see others are not so happy with the boxes running Mscam

Another problem I have is IPTV I have yet to see a movie on that to the end without it either freezing part way through and going back to the beginning of the movie by itself or just pausing and playing no further

So am I doing something wrong with this box that I can remedy?

Or is my box faulty and cause for a warranty claim as it only 3 months old?

Box was purchased from site sponsors

Thanks in advance

Hi
Sounds like you have overloaded the box with too many channels (6000 max)
Try loading a premade channel list, or delete many of your unused channels.

Thanks for reply jbvid but I only have just over 3000 channels saved that is a TV only blind scan on 28, 19 and 13e with no radio channels, these are the only sats I have ticked on sat list to use with usals

ensure you are using the latest mscam patch by checking the date in system info

might be worth reflashing the box with the recovery tool, then patching it with the latest mscam patch and check it again before deciding on any return options

save your channel list before doing this and turn off all networking beforehand, then factory reset it, then reflash it with the repair tool following the repair tool instructions and cables etc , factory reset it again , then patch it using a usb stick using the latest (newest) mscam patch and factory reset it yet again

Its not just the Channel capacity you have to consider,
There is also a limit on Transponders bearing in mind that you have performed a blind scan on multi Sats,

I would start over again

Save your channel list to a usb stick
Go to Network settings & select wired option
Go to Network-Ser*er Setup & turn CCcam, Newcamd lines to off (if you have any)
Load patch https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?172604-Spiderbox-Smartbox-HD6000-Patch-19-10-2015&p=939939#post939939
Load a 6000HD suitable channel list from here https://www.satpimps.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?576-Channel-Lists
etc etc

And please keep us updated if you issue is resolved.

Thanks Compass I will do exactly that and report back

At the moment I have no channels saved and even my lat & longtitude settings are wiped, kept meaning to put them on the usb stick but best laid plans and all that

I did have one of the site channel lists in to begin with but didn`t get on well with it preferring my owned saved channel list but to eliminate issues I will do as suggested

Thanks
