After recordings are done can you delete the cuts eit fles and just keep the ts files to free space.

yes you can ,
but the eit file contains the programme/movie info, so you will lose that
and the cuts file will come back next time you play the file as it contains how much of the programme/movie you have watched
the files are tiny so your not really gaining much

The biggest file i can see apart from ts are sc files and ts.ap files.

The reason i ask is when i look with filezilla there are about six files associated with one recording and want to tidy them and put them in different categories
