ive had this box for around a month now and am very pleased with it
its great having all the tutorials to follow on here which make things very easy
for me the streaming side of things isn't to great but that's down to my sluggish internet speed but apart from that I cant fault the box whatsoever
I think its a good buy at the price

YES it is worth geting. has so much to offer for so little money :-)
I have had this for few weeks now and looks prommising. both IPTV and Satelitte is very good and working as is says on papper.
here i use a dedicated IPTV provider that works 99% of the time good. Internet speed is 50/50 so no problem with any freezes or cliches. Free IPTV is like 1000 channels that are updated often as i can see.

Satellite is allso a very good opption, with working channels as long as you have the MScam.

c31 when I first got mine I thought the picture was bad but you need to set the box up to achieve this. when you go on IPTV and open what you want and it starts up, then press menu it gives you ' Resolution ' if you then press either < or > on each side of ok it takes you through the resolution. I find 1080i 50Hz best for me. It will also be the same for VOD, also check your AV settings in ' System Setup ' Aspect Ratio I use ' Full Screen '. It seems changes are there to be made, but you need to find them and when you do you will find the picture quality very good.

Check in AV in ' System Setup ' for HDMI is set correctly. If no change try another cable might be a problem with the cable.
Channel Manager is in SAT Installations.

I have had satbopxes for many years spiderbox is great but this one no matter what settings the picture is no were as good as spiderbox dissapointed

c31 Go into ' System Setup ' then into AV settings, have pencil and paper ready. Then click on each in the list starting at the top to open, make a note of the setting it is on before you alter so you can go back, then try other settings and see if you get an improvement. This will take time but at least you will be slowly trying everything. One thing you have not told us is what you are in with the bad picture ie Satellite , IPTV/VOD and or everything?

Picture quality also fine on mine. Some channels better than my sly 2tb.

Big Downside for me is the lack of channel editor and for this reason I hardly ever use it.

Hitechbox has better picture quality than spiderboxes.
HDMI cable make big difference.
Use another cable than this you use now.
Maybe this is your problem.
For all members having new TV it is suggested to use HDMI high speed 2.0 cable.

I use an expensive HDMI 2.0 cable that Currys gave when I bought the TV from them and as I have said I have a good picture.

If that were true then you would soon hear about it, on the forum, as owners are quick to complain.

Quite correct, and if it were a common fault everyone would be complaining, however as it is a few individuals as in this case, then we would have to assume that the problem is with the users end of things.

If you are not happy with the service which came as GIFT with the box you can stop going with it.

Picture and sound are great here via HDMI, so check you have the right settings.
Sometimes the receiver fails to move the dish and you have to manually tell the dish which position to go to.
Channels addded to Favorites don't always stay in memory.

There is picture adjustment when you are on satellite press ' info ' then press the ' down ' key under ok twice and a black oblong box appears with four picture adjustments :- Brightness , Contrast, Saturation and Hue. these adjustments go across the screen in the colour green. I will say if you do adjust do not keep going back as I did, I had some problem with Hue thankfully I sorted it and now have very good picture.

Also have excellent picture, almost on a par with Amiko Alien which uses SH4 chipset.

For those with poor picture quality, if you press "Info" twice (once for info bar, second for detailed info in blue box) and then press CH down button (bottom of ring of 4 big buttons) a video setup menu appears allowing you to alter Brilliance, Contrast, Saturation and Hue.

Re channel editor - U2C editor works just about the same as Dreamedit for Dreambox. See post by Ozzsurf on 20-02-2016 for download link for U2C editor ver 1.9.7. Have used this to download chan list to PC and edit but haven't yet sent files back to HB9000.

Honesty Philips, I bet you found it like I did when you pressed info to read about the channel and like me accidently hit the down key. Hey presto there it was. Just wondering what other little tricks are on this box waiting to be found I never did find the box for adding PIDS.

after reading the recent posts on this thread ive just checked out my box and all is working fine...picture is good....mscam still good for another 256 days and opening channels...ive got nothing bad to report about this box

Try a search for "USB Wifi dongle with antenna".
Although most normal USB Dongles, should be powerful enough, for most needs.

As Mickha said, do a search but try it on the ******* site. There are quite a few there and some are quite cheap so it may be worth a try. I don't know if you need one which specifically matches the USB chipset in the Hitechbox.
