Hi folks I'm new here, I have the chance to buy a 2nd hand ICECRYPT S3750CHD for not to many gold coins. I was wondering if I will be able to find plenty of support for it. I'm new to sat-linux boxes but I do know my way around linux. I do have a PC which I use for music and films. But I'm not sure whether to go down the PCIe tuner card or not. I have a Sat dish with twin tuners. I have read up on CCCAM but no idea if it will work with this. I have toyed with XBMC on both the PC and Raspi both where ok but not that good tbh. I only really have a bout £100 to spend so any advice would be very appreciated.

First off a cynical reply to your own question will not help your cause.
You have to remember this site is mainly supported by spider and Vu boxe users so you have to be patient for a considered reply.
Ok that said the box you are considering buying is a true linux based machine with spark and E dual boot and capable of working with a number of 3rd party plugins including ccCAM. I would suggest you look in the bespoke Icecrypt section on this site and start to get to know its capabilities and plugins that can be used with it.

Sorry if I sounded cynical I didn’t mean to, I was being more pragmatic, I thought by the absence of replies no one knew anything about it and so I won’t get much help. I was going to look another box that a lot of user have. But if you say it’s a viable Linux box then I’ll buy it of my mate. What would be nice is if the box was similar in build and software as another Iecrypt box. I’ve looked but I can’t see anywhere where is mentioned. But I guess the funs in the learning. Thanks for the reply.

No worries.
Depends what the other Ice is. If its a an older box like mine s3550HDCCI or a stc6000HDPVR they are Fortis based machines. the one you are looking at is a spark based machine and works differently but not owning one I wouldn't know the difference.
If you go to the Icecrypt site you will see the different models and what software drives them.
