need some help

hi guys just switched on my box and the black hole screen comes up and then after that its black and on the front of the box it comes up vu+ solo 2 on the the led screen and wont shift from that no matter what i do has anyone any advice or is it bricked

turn it off again, wait 5 minutes , try again

if nothing works , reflash it using a usb stick

is it bricked ? - very unlikely

is the image corrupt and needs reflashing ? - highly likely

ok tried after 5 mins and still the same so tried downloading on a usb and doesnt read from the usb is there a specific size to use or build etc

right changed the usb and got it to ugrade new screen for black hole downloaded the newest from the image files from here 3.0.2 but still comes up a black screen after it

Does anything happen when you press the menu button?
Have you checked the problem isn't with your HDMI cable, or television?
I take it you didn't get to the set up screen, to configure Black Hole, so how far did the update progress go?
Is your VU+ Solo 2 genuine, or could it be a clone?

nothing happens when i press the menu button and hdmi is working perfect as have an opebox running on it and there is no set up screen coming up it just goes to the screen that says black hole then stays there for about 10 seconds then black screen after it and dont know if its a clone or genuine as got it given to me and was readin there that the clones get a black screen after an update so hoping its not that

Could you ask the person(s) who gave you the receiver if it is a clone or not, and maybe the reason they gave it to you was because it is a clone, and furthermore it is highly unlikely that anyone on this forum will be able to help you, as the forum does not support clones of any receiver.
