Kodi Icon ? firestick

hi been trying for the last 2 days how to get kodi icon
on the home page of my firestick have tried all the usual
methods but none seem to work tried unstalling reinstalling kodi
but still no luck.
just seemed to have happened since new software update to 0s 5.2.1.0
be obliged if anyone has a how to do.

thanks sonic1 for your help I have all that installed if I use firestarter I can see all my apps
but iam looking to get the kodi icon on my home page without using firestarter its put all
my other apps on the home no problem just the kodi one I cant get.

Try launching Kodi from the launch app bit in the Manage Apps from the lowest option in the menu on the home page that you have to scroll across to get to.

Then hopefully it may appear in the main page under the Apps and Recent Apps and you should be able to set it as a favourite.
Launching it from Firestarter may not have the same effect on it.

thanks alot but just been reading its the new update thats causing the problem
5.2.1.0 seems to be stopping alot sideboarding.

I managed to put mine on by long press OK button then select Apps then Kodi. Then track back send stick to sleep on return of the home screen Kodi was in Recent. I have done this with all APPS I use regularly Youtube and a Fork of Kodi.
