is the new patch only for the ms box or for older boxs as well?

Older boxes never came with MSCam, you have to get 1k$ for older boxes.

It will not harm your box.
The difference is the mscamd option.
IKS patch has IKS code option and Mscamd patch has mscamd code option.

Hi.. You dont need IKS for older boxes - you can upgrade to Mscam. You need the Mscam patch. You can also go from Mscam to IKS. The difference is the account number one is 10 characters and the other is 12. This means if you have a valid account number for IKS you cannot transfer it to Mscam and vice versa.
