nothing, just got one cheap, so thought id stick latest patch on it, in case it "fixed" anything...

presume the patches were based on the latest official firmware?

if not, would it be wiser to use official software as opposed to patched?

Yes based on official fw.
Arena opens on 1.9e using the tandberg keys as its old tandberg it still works on there.
Powervu channels open on 1w and 4.8e discovery etc hd/sd

Presumably Powervu channels need manual key entry & not AU?

Yes change every couple weeks easily entered same as biss really but through the cas menu.

Yes mate, as I thought on M3 - much better on TM-F3-Super-TM-Mini-Super which still AU's ok.

Tuner is not terrible and still works with some PowerVU / BISS 1 while it lasts and Newcamd options
it would have been so much better had support not suddenly quit and Oscam was a possibility and a better iptv system than just .m3u
The TM5402 M4 would need 4K, M.I.S , IPTV Apk's , and Oscam possibility and much better H/W specs
the TM5402 M3 does have too many bugs at this stage that were never fixed and there indeed is much better out there at the moment ,
i agree linux TM800 was a flat out disaster :cool:
