Hi.

Is it possible to switch on the box and have it go straight to the last Sat channel (or one defined as startup channel) bypassing the Options Menu?

Thanks.

Hi jvid,

I did, and I found something which I thought it would do the trick. But it did not.

I am not near the box now so I cannot tell you the actual menu... something with start channel and boot and TV...

I will post once I am back.

Thanks.

Hi
I tried it but it didn't work for me, I just wanted you to find it and try it.

The option I thought would work was:

Menu / sat installation / channels management / start channel:

Boot on channel: on

Start up mode: TV

Start up channel:075, for example

But I'd did not work: it does still boot up to the menu, and when I select Sat TV channels it opens the last one I was watching, not 075 as selected.

So maybe those menu options do not work or I do not know how to use them or they do something different.

Thanks.

Hi because my wife is not tech, minded I tend to leave a certain sports channel called *** 1 for her when I am away, when ever I switch on and go to satellite this channel always come up first. I also tried the boot up sat. channel in channel manager, but like you and jbvid I also had no luck. Suggest that when you switch off leave it on the channel you want it to come on next time, I have always done this even on my Spiderbox.

Hi,

I am afraid that this might not have been fixed yet.

When I switch on the HD9000, it still goes first to the Menu, I have to select SAT TV Channels... and it goes to the last one I watched before switching it off.

I was expecting, for example, to switch on the HD9000 and it going straight to channel 0015, as set up in:

Menu / sat installation / channels management / start channel:

Maybe next SW?

Anyway, thanks for your help.

@tinto
The new software works fine for me.
Do you have S/W Ver 2.1.61 showing in System Settings/System Information?

I agree with you that the latest software does work fine, however I believe that tinto wishes to have the receiver boot up displaying the last watched channel, as opposed to the receiver starting with the various icons on display ie IPTV, You Tube etc, then he has to go to Sat TV Channels, then the last viewed channel appears.

Hi,

Yes, 2.1.61.

Yes, I thought I could skip the Menu screen with the various icons... and boot up straight to the channel configured as startup channel (not the last watched one).

That's what I thought the option was, but no big problem.

Thank you all.

We released same sw 2.1.61 in 1 Seprember and in 2 September.
Load the sw 2.1.61 from forum here or update online.
When you reboot or power On box from standby,it starts from the satellite channel you have selected.

Hi blackdevil,

Thanks for the explanation.

I did upgrade on 1 September, so I guess I have the "old" 2.1.61.

I will soon upgrade again with the "new" 2.1.61 from 2 September and post results.

Thanks.

Hi,

I can now confirm that it works (it skips the Menu screen with the various icons... and boots up straight to the channel configured as startup channel) after upgrading to the 2 September 2.1.61.

Thanks.
