smartcard reader on Vu zero

Hello, i would like to know if the smartcard reader in Vu zero can be used instead of cam module.

Vu zero dont have CI slot, only smartcard slot

Yes you can but you'll have to first have a softcam installed then set-up the card reader to work with your chosen softcam.

If you're using CCcam then paste the following into your CCcam.cfg file and save it then FTP the CCcam.cfg file back to your box.

SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/sci0 3570000
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/sci1 3570000

the smartcard is paired with original receiver humax with its serial number. but i need to use the card in Vuplus zero. The smartcard is conax irdeto 2 encryption. what softcam to be used and how can i configure it using humax box serial number.? please help

if its paired to the original box I don't think it can be used in the vu box
