View Full Version : HAS MSCAM GONE DOWN ON THE HITECH9000hd box?

since saturday evening ,( roughly after the arsenal v chelsea game) all my channels have gone ,,
,i bought the hitech9000hd box in august this year ,
it came with a mscam code which i was told was for 12 MONTHS.
2 friends also have the same box ,but as they have had their box for over a year they now use a different super iks code ,which is different from my mscam apparantly and although most of their channels disappeared roughly the same time as mine ,some of their channels are working as mine are not .
i did check in my settings to see if it was the same as theirs ,,but again it was different,,
my card reader was orange ( so not working)
Their card reader was GREEN ( so was working)
i have tried looking on the forum on this site over the past few days without success (in the different sections ) hitech section etc ,,all recent posts etc etc ..

Have other people had similar problem with their mscam code not working etc ???
i know they do something like maintenance on the boxes and sometime they reappear after a day or so ,but this has now gone on since last saturday evening and it is now tuesday 930am roughly so more than a day or so ,thus the reason both myself and my friends are concerned ??
we would appreciate any positive feedback on this subject ..

sorry meant to say no sarcy comments like this post is same as so and so ,,because it is not ,,i have addressed the situation that it could well be a mscam problem and not a box problem as the box is clearly working as i stated my 2 friends have brought their boxes round and we can see the iks is def clearing channels and the mscam is def not ,and we do appreciate everyones help as 99 per cent of the time it helps and we do know you always get one that just likes to be difficult and not helpful

Ok Paul, we can't talk about what opens or not here, but the card reader is green and it clears some channels. So MsCamd is working.

i have just checked my card reader
it is def still orange
type says Mscamd
srever address is the ip address mine
port says a number
user isanonymous
the password is my code i was given
des code realy long number
and enable is on

anyways thats upto date on my situation

having read your reply i take that you are stating that mscamd is fine on your boxand therefore that the mscamd on my box and mt friends mscamd must be something wrong and we need to contact the sponsor so they can look into it further?

I have just gone into settingsagain
re entered my code
now card reader is green
but channels are still not clearing
i have tried a reboot too but with no sucess
any more ideas please?
I HAVE BOTH BOXES HERE
THE ONE THAT WORKS SAYS WEN U GO ON A CHANELL SUPER IKS
THE ONE THAT DOESNT WORK SAYS NOTHING AT ALL ' NOT EVEN MSCAMD

Paul, just a heads up... the sponsor has nothing to do with mscam so won't be able to help you with anything relating to this.
If mscam is down on your hitechbox and your friends hitechbox then it's not an isolated incident.

I was told by a 3rd party on the 25th that there is a problem with mscam and it's being looked into. Maybe some people are affected and not others, I don't know. It'll all get fixed once the mscam guys fix the problem.

As hda5 states 'some people are affected and not others' which is correct, mine has be up and down in the last few days (down ATM) but after reading the couple of earlier posts about this I accepted that there is a problem and found the patience to wait it out until its sorted.

yes same here but on the s/box 6000hd mscam is using the same server i presume i find hispasat channels are usually stable but they too are down

Hi Mscam has been working fine on SB6000 since last night at around 7pm Was up and down on Saturday and Sunday but working fine since last night. Watching channels now on Hotbird and all is working.

hotbird works but no access hispasat can't be bothered checking the others could be lucky some days it's the way it and has been from the start

Yesterday afternoon mscam was showing an orange light later it went back to green. I did a ping test and its working perfectly with internet strength, so it is obviously picking up the server. Some channels cleared last night but today still green light but not clearing any channels. Also not showing ' how many days left ' notification at the start-up so they are still doing some work.

Hi Mscam went down again at around 9pm ..IKS is working fine. It appears that Mscam is connecting to the server but they are blocking access to clear the channels. Lets hope that they sort it out as its annoying when it goes down .

update on hd9000 hi tech box
last night all the channels were working at 10pm and then 15 mins later they all went off,,
this morning ichecked again,,,and they were all not clearing
my card reader is still
so i guess they will be sorted by the team soon
if anybody else has had similar with their mscamd i would like to know
again many thanks to all that help

Hi Not familiar with your type of box but can confirm its working fine on Spiderbox 6000HD and has been for a while now. If your box has apps like Youtube see if they are working ok to eliminate network problems etc. Regards

I think there is no need to enter the numbers again. And it might not be a good idea.

I would wait, till someone confirms it is safe and necessary.

I have not reentered it, and it seems to be working now.

Hi You can enter the same number as many times as you want onto the same box ..but you must not enter the number which has been used onto a different box ie you cannot transferr numbers from one box to another. From what i been told if you transfer number to a different box it will disable the number..I presume this is to stop more than one person using the account. Regards

it should be ok to transfer from 1 receiver to another as long as you don't use 2 at the same time with the same codes

I thought each code was linked to the MAC address in each box, so you could not use the code with different receivers... So be careful.

Hi Spot on... When you register the account number for the first time it will link that account with your MAC address of the receiver. I tried swapping receiver but got message Account number already in use. Regards.

Is the HTTP upgrade just for MSCAMD ? My last upgrade was 26/7 .
Appreciate the work being done to sort out problems .

Many thanks Blackdevil , updated with 2.1.72 and as you say in earlier post a lot of channels on 13E and 19.2E are clearing.

Last night expiry date appeared again, tried all channels all working perfectly. The box appears to be quite fast with internet now, hardly any wait time. Thanks for service certainly worth the wait. Best johnhenry :chinese-bow-005:
