View Full Version : EPG provision for Intelsat 907 'Satback'

I never watch live TV except for the News. That means I only watch recordings or something I stream from one of the broadcasters. Hence a service with no EPG, and thus likely no possibility of setting up recordings, is of zero use to me. I am interested in receiving the 'satback' service on Intelsat 907. I am aware that there is no EPG available from the service. However, I have had the problem of no EPG for some stations before when I ran MythTV and I just wrote some software to download it from the Net and inserted it into the EPG database. That is what I would like to do if it is feasible to do that (+sufficient information available etc. etc.). If someone has already done this then no point in me reinventing the wheel - please point me in the right direction :-)

I was thinking of purchasing an IceCrypt S1600CHD but I need to know if it is going to be suitable for my use. If there is another suitable receiver, at a similar ballpark price, available in Europe, then I'll consider it.

I would appreciate any advice that can be given in regard to the above.

Thank you in advance.

OK, 53 views and no answer so it looks like it's not going anywhere. So, I've bought a different receiver that I think I might have more luck with and if it doesn't do what I want I have a further use for it : Zgemma HS2 !

There's not much point in asking questions on Zgemma HS2 in the Icecrypt Section of the forum, when there is a Zgemma Section on the foru here:
