Hi,

Not been around for a while and a little out of touch with the sat scene re box's etc.

I need to replace a failing Spiderbox 9000HD, what would be your recommendations for a replacement? i would need it to do everything the spiderbox does inc RF output and CI slot and the obvious

thanks in advance for advice.

You could try the Hitech 9000 receiver, which is available from the forum sponsor here:

Rf is missing from most boxes these days, some have a CI slot but most use internet access to get channels, the spider 9000 was a good box but latest boxes have lots more functions like IPTV and computer functions that get many more channels.

The spider 6000 still works ok for me with 1k$ , new boxes have MScam which works ok when its going well, it does have bad spells though.

Technomate TM5402 M3 has RF out and IPTV
Or Technomate TM F3/5 same box but without cam slot

Hi You can also consider getting a video sender to watch italian tv in other rooms without RF cables. I put one in for my mother to watch italian tv in the kitchen and bedroom.. comes in handy when she is cooking or doing washing up etc...

regards.

Good idea Karabanga, that's opened up loads more options for me.
