IKS query

Hi Can any kind member please confirm if channels Eleven Sports HD on Hotbird and BT Sport 2 opens with IKS as mine dont.

BT Sport 2 certainly does not, and has not for some time, BT Sport 1& 3 do.
Eleven HD & Eleven Extra Hd both open, Eleven Sport does not for me.
I am using Spider 9000 with IKS.

I can confirm both the above channels don't open as well on 1k$, BT2 opens ok with MSCAM though.

Do you have the correct TP Settings for BT Sport 2, as it is 11344 H 27500, BT 1 & 3 are on 11343 V 27500, and all 3 are clearing for me with Hitech 9000.

Hi, Just to Add,

You guys can keep an eye on individual transponder changes and updates by using the excellent Channel editor 2.1.1 by Superstarmac in the Files / Tools section. It takes current internet downloads of any selected Sat and frequencies you want to compare and look at.
To use it New / Internet Database / Advanced download / Add / Select Satellite Position / Add Satellite / Download Internet Database / OK. Check and compare to your problem channel frequencies. You can then rescan the new updated individual frequencies.

Thanks Aldo, yes I am on the correct frequency, it worked great up to the last changes in frequency. I was hoping that it just needed
the system to be updated, but it never happened. Perhaps it is just down to the different way the older Spiderbox and the newer Hitech
operate, sad because I was really missing my MotoGP with English commentary.

It is highly unlikely that there will be a new patch for the Spiderbox 6000, as the IKS was for older spiderbox's, the newer spiderbox's use the MScam, probably the only way you will be able to get those channels with IKS will be to subscribe to the V a s i k s Forum, which I believe casts £50.

Hi The newer Spiderboxes can use either IKS or Mscam..ie depends which one you prefer. problem is IKS can also open channels which Mscam cannot. It will be cheaper for me to get an Mscam account rather than pay 50 pounds but then i will lose some channels which only IKS can open..I suppose its swings and roundabouts really.

As I am using Vasiks IKS patch on my Spiderbox 9000 and not opening these channels ,I doubt, that they would open
on the Spiderbox 6000 using the same facility. I am open to be proven wrong on this assumption.

Hi I am still using my Spiderbox 9000HD, those channels are opening for me using *ks. I find them more stable than *scam on Hitechbox 9000, however since *scam had their maintenance shutdown a couple of weeks ago they have worked well also.

This also happened a couple years ago when BT Sport 2 changed frequencies, it was several months before 1k$ was updated and worked, then earlier this year it moved frequencies and was lost again, I cant clear 11 sport and extra on H/B either with 1k$.

Hi. I am sure that Eleven Sports HD was opening with IKS a few weeks ago using the present frequency. I think i will try an earlier patch for IKS when i get home in a few days and see what results we get. Regards

Hi have to agree with TonyO all open except 2, I did a new scan to check frequencies had not changed (no changes) I had several channel numbers for 2 so I checked them all (sometimes you can find one that will open) but it seems none will open. I have to admit I do not use this channel very often so I was unaware when I typed #11.
I was a bit concerned that we should not be discussing what opens on *ks and *Scam if so I must apologise.

As Skomedal has stated above only the admin on the v a s i k s forum will be able to tell you that, however you will have to join that forum to find out, and if they do it will cost you at least £50.

Iv'e been away for 3 months and its all working here now, some other providers have changed their channel list and some new frequencies are not opening at the mo .

Yes, been down since last night, worse still, is the fact that it is affecting all other channels, even FTA, as each time the patch tries to activate,
it is causing loss of both picture, and, sound, every other minute

IKS still showing 'connecting' but it isn't doing so. Been like that for a few days now which is unusual. Normally gets restored reasonably quickly.
A few people on the respective site appear naturally upset that no feedback is forthcomming.

It will eventually go as more peeps rely on streaming on the net to get channels, then everyone will be paying either the genuine expensive broadcasters or much cheaper pirate providers.

High quality pictures will be a thing of the past, the technology for fantastic pictures will be available but broadcasters will water it down to save (make more) money.

Unfortunately this is the reality. as encryption gets more sophisticated, less channels open.
