With the loss of FTA France 2/3/4/O/Parl on 5 deg W and now also the loss of TF1 and a couple of others on 9 deg E, I've read that there's a possibility that a phantompatch MIGHT address the decoding of the "multistream" versions of the French TV channels on 5 deg W, streams that derived from the original Newtech feeds of these channels to the transmitter network in France.

The streams are NOT encrypted, they're just three muxes in each case concentrated onto one transponder. There's something called a TBS card which already undoes them, but I'm told it's far from easy to use unless one is very very computer literate.

So if there's any chance that the team that do phantom patches is reading this, then please - I'd be very grateful if the Technomates could be made to receive these streams.

Thanks in advance!

They are also expensive to buy, and, you need a high spec Desktop Computer to run them

Certainly beyond my capabilities Mobley2. It's just someone who knows a bit on the subject reckoned that it's something that a Technomate can probably do, it just needs the impetus of the loss of these channels, and a few of us encouraging the "clever guys" at Phantom to see if they can help us out....

Wont happen @ Phantom already Said that Technomate 5402 has not got the required Hardware to open Multi-Stream Channels
or 4:2:2 either ,
@ Technomate have not even yet been able to Fix New Tandberg Encryption Algo change which is already known and public long time ago .
there was a new patch issued on Nov 11th but it was just for a youtube issue which ive never used and Youtube still works on the previous patch : ))
its unlikely anything fantastic or new will come ,
TBS DVB Card or USB Device is the future and already can handle easily 4:2:2
and Multistream Channels and Feeds aswell as New Tandberg Encryption
plus PowerVu and any future changes that may occur
im far from a computer technician and i dont ever claim to have any super skills
there really is little or none required to use a DVB Card/Box its been around for long, long time
and will be in years to come believe me !
Waiting for a sat reciever to do all this or even some of it will be like waiting to win the lottery
..but thats my opinion ..its not likely to change : )
Good luck !

True Barney - re Utube on patch 146P I believe Phantom REALLY meant it was to sort HS which had stopped working on 145P, but maybe he was being bashful!! lol!!:iagree:

Investing in a Linux Enigma2 receiver and a TBS 5925 USB tuner card will get you those channels easily running the satdreamgr image, there are plenty of tutorials spread about the internet on how its done
