so i have a 4k kodi box that can do 20hz, 25hz, 50hz and 60hz

a hdmi 4k lead that supports 1.4-2.0

a lg 4k tv with 2 hdr 2.2 ports

tested project M that claims to have 4k movies.

As soon as i click play 80% of the time the box crashes and the time it does work, buffers very very bad
i have 200mb internet as well

anyone got any real 4k apps to test for kodi?

You wont find any streaming 4K movies that are the correct resolution to the UHD blu ray streaming especially from 'Kodi addon' sources certainly wont be true 4K there is just not enough bandwidth to support it, Even Netflix and ****** have to set 25mb stream limit for this very reason

I use Kodi v17.0 “Krypton” beta 6, which plays 4K mkv files no problem on Fire Tv 4K box, when streamed from my local Synology NAS over Ethernet cable.

Streaming from the internet live 4K is different thing, but you must have capable hardare like the ****** Fire Tv 4K box (£75) that can play back both x264 and x265 4K files in hardware, also the NVIDIA Shield TV supports full 4K playback using Kodi.

BT ultra HD streaming service uses multicast technology but still needs 45+ Mbps + latest Humax 4K box.

****** Fire Tv 4K can do 4K Netflix but only because the box is so quick, not just the internet connection.

Hope that helps mate.

doesn't matter if your paying for a bazzilion mb down stream it will only stream data to you as fast as the server your connecting to allows. Instead of trying to stream it use the download option. I'll put money on it maxing out at a few mb. Fine for over compressed HD. content but not UHD
just downloaded the app you said

i have 200mb net
true hdmi 2.0 4k lead

Try installing "ares wizard" then "real movies" video add on, then select 4-k movies.

Perfect streaming in full 4K using v17 beta 7 on fire 4K box, probably also works with other stable kodi builds.
