hello all as mscam was freezing last couple of days, it seems I needed to update firmware.
updated via http the mscam 93 bin , then the 94 mscam bin

I did not check the hitech, I then installed via http the smartview? bin file assumed it was an add on of some kind



I now cannot access any menus or anything else on the hitech just got a black screen.

is there any way of reloading the mscam 94 patch ? (I could not find it the firmware section) or have I just ruined the box prior to xmas

ps what is the smartview bin file anyway can find no info on hitech info section on pimps

thanks jbvid had a look at the post but the hitech does not respond to the remote on/off or anything else.

loaded mscam firmware to usb tried okokok but as I cannot see any menus I do not know if file is loading into hitech?

unless I am missing something?

hi cutain ihad the same problem, what i done was load 194 latest patch or any earlier patch onto usb and keep pressing ok button until you see it starting mine would not load without the bin file in the patch,keep pressing ok button. (donegalman)

Forget about Menu's and the on/off button.
Just plug in the USB stick with the force_upgrade_rom file on it, then plug in the power lead in and keep pressing OK on the remote till it starts loading in.

thanks jbvid and donegalman I downloaded firmware file and renamed it force_upgrade_rom.bin and installed on usb stick which has a status light
tried ok with remote but no joy,

removing power lead as mentioned by jbvid and reinserting power usb light lit up and installed the firmware all up and running now

still have no idea what smartworld for hitech box is meant to do

Smartworld is just another Icon on the start menu, but not doing anything for me ATM. I assume blackdevil will give us an update with some info when operational.

Did blackdevil not give some indication about Smartworld. In reply to someone else's query, I think that he stated that it was an Albanian PPV Channel.
