I have two vu solo 2 these have latest patch 3.0.0. c both work fine on Samsung tv but when I put them on my sony kdl-55w905a one works but other when starting comes on blackhole image for about 5 seconds and then the screen on tv goes blank but the display on the solo goes on as normal and nothing more is seen on the sony.I have tried all normal things reflashed image changed the hdmi lead can anyone suggest what I do next please? waltwal

latest image is 3.0.3.c

have you tried with a scart lead just to check

Check your display settings, on the receiver that doesn't work, and alter the HDMI to 720, and other options, to see if it then works.

No that made no difference I moved it to720 and the refresh rate to multi. waltwal

Did you buy both VU+ Solo 2 receivers at the same time?
If the AV settings, and everything else is the same, on both receivers, all I can think of is a loose connection, on the TV, or Solo 2, or that the VU+ Solo 2's might be different.
Do both receivers still work on the Samsung TV?
Checking your Sony specs, it has 4 HDMI inputs, have you checked all 4?

I bought the one that does not work about a year earlier and both have always worked with the same settings I have tried it on other hdmi outlets with same results all the other setting are used with
other sets a freeview rec. a TM 5402mk3 an android box these all work normally I have been working on this problem for about a week I think I have tried every thing and think firmware is corrupt thanks for trying. waltwal

You can copy the image, and all settings, from one VU+ Solo 2, to the other, providing both are genuine, and one isn't a clone.

Yes both of them bought from Lee,copying the images is how I did it, then got VU uno out that worked ok even when copied the settings across to that.thanks again for your help regards waltwal

Then I'm at a complete loss, as to why one is working, and the other isn't.
Try loading a fresh image, on the one that isn't working, while it's connected to the Sony television, and see if you get through the full set up procedure:
