1080x2 aka 4K

I always thought that 'true' 4K was FOUR x 1080 mate, not 2 - hence '4K' = 4000?

True Simon, plus both Sky and BT have been showing EPL (Prem League) matches in 'UHD' - but obviously as well as needing a 4K tv you also need the latest Sky Q boxes to be able to play it back in 4K!

Yeah m8(76 Mb), bit rate is fine, it just looks like HDR on a non HDR TV would look, outside sunny scenes look dull and the colours are horrible, orange lips? WTF!!! And yes, I get the 'HDR IS ON' message, so it is in HDR :(

you can downscale the 4k picture to 1080p tv with a solo4k so you dont need a new tv. The 4k channels on my sony bravia at 1080p looks stunning.

It's an LG, 2015 model, Netflix HDR only recently been added, tried that for the 1st time and that looks **** poor too. HDR 'Demos' look fine through the internal media player though.

you need to either calibrate the TV via a calibration disc for not just normal settings but also HDR or pay to have it professionally calibrated, i have this years OLED model and the HDR on mine is stunning to say the least although i have semi-calibrated it but waiting for a few more compensation cycles before i pay to have it professionally done
