Hi to all,
New member with 1st post.
I'm sure I've come to the correct place to ask for help and if not, I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
Simply put, Can the ICECRYPT STC1650CHD be used for the British channels on the Intel 907 Sat? A friend has bought one and even though we have followed instructions on this site, we have had no success in installing from a usb.
Would it be because he has bought the wrong receiver?
Thanks again in advanced
Mark

Hi To open channels usually there are 3 routes.

1) Legal route with valid cards etc.
2) The internet route...
3) The softcam route.
The channels you are refering to are opened with softcams...this means receivers must be patched to enable a CAS menu to be created where softcams can put latest keys in or keys can be inserted manually. Your best bet is to Google your receiver and see if it can be patched with the CAS option etc.

Thanks for your quick response. I've googled this but I'm not getting any answers, Has anybody had success with this box updating to the necessary software via USB?

Hi here is the patch for your box... you will need to unzip it etc. Do a backup of your receiver before upgarding in case of problems..
