Hi , Firstly i don,t have a clue so please be patient! I am in Spain and currently using a icecrypt 1600chd box that was installed and set up by local tv guy to receive British channels.i have since split the cable and have Spanish Tv in both living room and bedroom and a friend is bringing out an other icrypt box 1600chd next week that i want to use in bedroom. Only one box will be used at once. How simple is this to set up and can i copy from other box? or will i have to take it or get local tv guy to set up. Please any help much apppreciated Many Thanks

You can copy the software and channel list to USB and then copy them onto the new box.
Note that the copy will also transfer the BISS decoding for the BBC etc but not any c:lines.
Good luck.

spanish dave, the only thing you need to make a note of is there are now 2 variants of 1600chd and 1600chd se ,the sw is copiable between the same variants but is completely different se to non se,(se=second edition) if the other box you get is se you can download the latest SW from this site and it sets everything on box up as long as you choose "all SW and bootloader" as the option when updating by usb. When you say you have split the cable ,you would be better off having a twin LNB and seperate cables to each decoder as there will be less loss of sig strength, but if it works by splitting then leave it as is but if you get problems a twin LNB is cheap as chips and no loss of signal.
