New software has been announced by blackdevil on the other website. The present version is 2.2.30 (ostensibly aimed at "Golden IPTV"), and with it Tandberg returns,
which will be welcomed by not a few in the forum.

I'm hoping the new software will finally bring stability to the IPTV Bonus section, which, while much appreciated, can be frustrating with many closed channels, hit-or-miss
situations. That having been said, IMHO I think the Bonus section is still the Box's biggest attraction.

Just downloaded 2.2.30 it appears to be much more stable for me on 13 deg than 2.2.08, (mscamd)glitch free for the past 1/2 hour. Not tried anything else yet,so far so good.

hi rioseco,
don't use cccam myself, but I have looked at the Net Client option in CA where there is a choice of 16 readers,I have gone into reader edit and one of the options is cccam, whether or not it works I don't know ,but from my limited knowledge it appears to be an option.

My Mcamd gift has expired so cannot comment on that but IPTV seems better. Much more stable and more channels seem to be available.

Very easy to get confused with so little info being offered.

This has to be the worst receiver I have ever had regarding availability of information about updates or facilities available.

From what I can see, the "US Stalker" section of IPTV Bonus has been expanded to the 800+ channels it previously had briefly in earlier iterations. There is a sizeable amount of
Latino/Latin American stations (new) and many , many more non-English ones. Since my satellite motor broke down, I can't comment on the reception of different satellites (I have
it tuned to 28.2 šEast) and thus I can't comment on any developments in that area.

Overall 2.2.31 does appear to be among the most stable versions so far.

I feel your pain. New versions are introduced with little in the way of explanation. I will say this, however, blackdevil almost always answers questions on the other site.
Hopefully those who are members of both forums can help out.

That is if you can register on the other forum! I keep trying but each time it tells me my email addresses (2 No) are banned.

I struggled getting on that forum and it did not seem to like a gmail or hotmail address so i tried my workplace email and i was able to register. Must have a filter on certain email address types to block them registering.

hope this helps

It appears that the announced new software is turning out to be incremental, rather than a new single package, that is, a strengthening in steps of various aspects of the operating system. The present update is at 2.2.34, downloadable in the usual way.
The various IPTV sections seem more stable than in previous versions, as does the satellite operation. I would expect more improvements in the coming days/weeks.

And the latest increment is now at 2.2.38. I downloaded and installed it without incident. I guess the overall effect is a gain in stability.
The IP sections in particular appear to have fewer glitches or freezes.
