Doesn't the DM 800 have a Kodi option, or IPTV player, on any available image?

many iptv providers, provide you with a link to their specific version of the plugin..It comes as an ipk..Then it's MAC linked to the box.

The DM800 HD is an Enigma 2 receiver so should be able to run IPTV, and Kodi.
What image do you currently have loaded?
Have you been into the menu, checked for addons, plugins, and see what's available?
A quick google search, for DM800 images with IPTV, brings up a lot of information, with some mentioning Open Pli images, but also that you should check the Plugins menu options, and TSMedia.

Do you have a motorised dish ?

Don't know much about DM boxes mate, but sounds like an IPTV plugin may be just what doctor ordered to save changing boxes? I have a MAG250, a 'dedicated' IPTV box, which is excellent - but would still prefer to be using a sat box - given any choice nowadays!! lol!!

The Blackhole image is only for the VU+ receivers, as it's based on their official images, however a Blackhole light version, was produced, to work with dreamboxes, but doesn't have all the features.
I think you might have to update, your image, as the one listed is 5 years old, so I doubt it will have Kodi, but you might be able to download something, from the plugins menu options.
Any chance you can take a few screenshots, of the menu options, using openwebif, and upload them?
There are some images, on the forum, for the Dreambox 800HD:

@holmrod stick with mag box mate, enigma plugin is slow and clunky, (imo). importing the providers m3u directly into ur bouquets would be a better option if you do decide to go the dm route.

i tried the plugin today on a zgemma star lc n found it sluggish as hell to the point of giving up.
